01 Feb 12 - It's great that so many of you have added photos from your Burns Night celebrations this year.

If you have any recipes on how to use haggis then please feel free to post and share them in the discussions below.

There are many photographs in the group of different ways of serving as well as no-traditional ways: pizza, lasagne, pie, stuffed baked potato, fritters,... keep them coming.

Any postings of haggis or Burns Night celebrations to this group are welcome.

Haggis is a traditional Scottish dish normally made with the following ingredients: sheep's 'pluck' (heart, liver and lungs), minced with onion, oatmeal, suet, spices, and salt, mixed with stock, and traditionally boiled in the animal's stomach. It is traditionally served with neeps and tatties (turnip and potatoe).

One of well known haggis makers is Macsween of Edinburgh and they have a very good website which gives all the background and some interesting receipes for dishes using haggis - haggis on toast anyone?

Haggis is traditionally eaten at Burns Night on 25th January each year when the life and times of the poet Robert Burns is celebrated.
