14 May 08 - Thanks to you all for submitting you photographs to the 'Hackney in Focus' exhibition! Also, it was very nice to get to meet some of you in person at the launch night!
We have put together a photomagazine from a selection of the photographs from this Flickr group. The magazine is published on lulu.com, which is a self publishing print on demand website. Now everyone can download it for free or order it from:

About HACKNEY IN FOCUS

This group is a place for you to share your photos of Hackney, London. It was created as a way of submitting images to an exhibition curated and arranged by third year Digital Photography students at London South Bank University. The exhibition was called 'Hackney in Focus' and was on display at the Marie Lloyd Bar (next to the Hackney Empire) on the 11th - 14th of December 2007. It aimed to present images of Hackney from the perspective of the public and to explore the idea of anyone being a potential photographer with the extensive use of for example camera mobile phones.

BY SUBMITTING PHOTOGRAPHS TO THIS GROUP YOU ARE AGREEING FOR US TO INCLUDE THEM AS PART OF THE EXHIBITION.

How do I share photos with the 'Hackney in Focus' group?

1. You have to be a member to share your photos with the group.
Join the group by clicking "Join this group?" in the upper right corner.

2. Click on the photo you want to share under Your photos. The photo will then be displayed on its own and you will find some icons above it. Click the SEND TO GROUP icon and chose the 'Hackney in Focus' group.

Your photos will now be displayed in the 'Hackney in Focus' group!

Even though the exhibition has taken place already, we encourage people to continue submitting their images to this group to extend the collection and to keep networking with and explore the Hackney community/communities through photography.
