About Habitat World Photo Contest 2010
We are pleased to announce the winner and four additional finalists in this year's contest.
A team of Habitat judges, considering each image’s ideas and emotions as much as its technical qualities, has named Neil Reid the winner of the 2010 contest. Reid — a 33-year-old civil engineer from Dromore, Co-Down, Northern Ireland — captured his photograph “New Hope” while building with Habitat in Mozambique. As the contest winner, Reid has been awarded a spot on a Habitat for Humanity Global Village volunteer trip to Pokhara, Nepal, which will take place in early October.
Our four additional finalists are:
Bob Carey of Thousand Oaks, Calif.
Marsha E. Williams of Cincinnati, Ohio
Emily Rogers of Detroit, Mich.
Laurie Davis of Kent, Wash.
Congratulations to all of our recognized photographers! To learn more and see a slideshow of these winning photos, visit www.habitat.org/hw/photo_contest/2010.
