About GYOTAKU
Gyotaku is the art of Japanese fish printing.
Photos of prints should be images of Gyotaku Prints only. They may be Chokusetsu-ho (direct method) prints, Kansetsu-ho (indirect method) prints or even the Tensha-ho, transfer method.
Photos from classes, shows and events involving Gyotaku may also be posted.
Some leeway will be allowed for images off the base subject matter of fish...... but try to keep to prints of marine or aquatic creatures...... chimpmunk and snake nature prints should reside in a different group.
All Gyotaku images are subject to Copyright laws, so remember not to post or download with out the artists' permission.
If you are an Artist posting images, feel free to include an HTML link to your website URL in the comment section of your upload .
Including such tags as fish fishprinting gyotaku fishart japaneseprinting , etc will help the visibility of the group's images.
