We run a themes challenge. Below is a list of the themes we have had thus far:

Warmth, Dynamic, Out and About, From Above, Decay, Morning, Texture, Bokeh, Drink, 5 Things, Musical Theatre, Reflection, Summer, Portraits, Concrete and steel , 'Scapes, "LLiwiau LLachar" (Intensely Bright Colours), Looking Up, Transport, Balls, Hi-Tech/Lo-Tech, Play, Close Up, Night, Perspective, Bodies, Song Titles, Architecture, Urban Wildlife, Water, Self Portraits, Food, Old, Wood, Yellow

OK, as there are a few new faces in the Clwb these days, I thought it might just be worth clarifying the rules for the Themes.

Whenever a new Theme is set, a Discussion Thread is created for people to, well, discuss the theme, post old (or new) shots and so on but it's not until we get to Nomination Day that the rules really come into play.....

1. ONE ENTRY PER PERSON : you can post as many shots as you like in the Pool and even in the Discussion Thread BUT you must only nominate one shot as your entry. Nomination must be done in the separate Nomination Thread on or before the designated day (usually a Monday).

2. ENTRIES TO BE MEDIUM SIZE : easily done - just click the "Share This" button above your photo, then choose "Grab the HTML". The code you need is provided in a text box so just pick the Medium 640 option, copy the code and paste it as a new post in the Nomination Thread. This just saves people having to click through to your photo page to see a reasonable size image although the pixel peepers among us (you know who you are) probably still will.

3. VOTING : Voting takes place in the Nomination Thread the day after Nomination Day. Only those who have nominated a shot for a particular Theme are eligible to vote. To vote, list your three favourite nominated shots in order of preference - your favourite gets 5 points, your second favourite gets 3 points and your third favourite gets 1 point. You may not vote for yourself.

4. THE WINNER : When voting closes, the shot with the most points is the winner - simples. Whoever took the winning shot then sets the next Theme and deadlines and starts a new Discussion Thread. In the event of a tie, it's a tie.
