Fresher's Week

We need volunteers to hand out flyers and things during Fresher's Fair on the 14th and 15th of August next week. Any times that you are free, please email guphotosoc@gmail.com or post here.
This will not be particularly strenuous physically or mentally, so if you are free please come along for an hour or two. We can talk while handing out stuff and maybe go for a coffee or a drink afterwards? Maybe we'll make some new friends and go for a coffee or a drink with them too!
Basically this is the best chance the Photosoc has this year of being able to pick up lots of new members for the coming year. That means more people to talk to, more people to pay membership fees and generally make the PhotoSoc more than a half dozen guys down the pub.

I assume you meant 14th and 15th September, unless we've managed to acquire a time machine over the summer :-).
Free light meters? I'm intrigued.
Any chance of putting some good photos on the fliers, perhaps something from the group Flickr stream? Would be nice to showcase some of the stuff by members.

Yea I meant September that was just an, er, draft :P
No chance of putting photos on the flyers I think, they're going to be black and white plain paper.
You may notice we have a new design on the website at guphotosoc.co.uk/ perhaps we could get one photo per willing member and put up a gallery? What do people think of that? I'd be keen, can post out on the mailing list in two weeks (after freshers week is over and done with) to get people to email in a photo and a URL they want to go with it.
edit: also, at the talk on Wednesday I'll probably put photos up on the projector.

If we do that I'd be forced to kill anyone who came along in the off chance they were lomographers. For the greater good you understand; better to cut off the whole limb than have it necrotise
