Be a citizen-journalist and help us show the world what's happening. Take photos and shoot video of oil slicks, oil on the beaches, impacted wildlife, and people working hard on this massive cleanup effort. Submit your photos to this site. Kick it up a notch and upload your photos as part of an incident report on the Gulf Oil Spill Tracker website.
We're looking for all photos showing the impacts of the catastrophic April 2010 blowout and oil spill from the BP / Transocean Deepwater Horizon drill rig in the Gulf of Mexico.
Upload your images to your own free Flickr account (and video, if you have a Pro account) with captions that describe the time and place, and what you saw, heard, smelled and felt. Include your name and hometown if you're comfortable with that. Then add your photos to this group, and to the Gulf Oil Spill Tracker site.
At SkyTruth we show what's happening with this spill using satellite images; now we need your help to show what's happening on the ground, to make it real for people.
If you can geotag your pics and video, that's great - then we can put them on a map! Click here for geotagging help.
