About Gui Zhou 貴州, a province in China
Gui Zhou is the poorest province in China. Here, people live in remote mountainous areas and children go to school only if their family can afford it (about US$25/year).
Even though these children live in poverty, some of them have the brightest smiles I've ever seen. My digital camera caused much excitement, as they can see themselves in the camera once I took photos of them!
