Thank you for joining GUITAR FACE. We have a few rules, designed purely to keep the group 'on topic', and not just another repository for gig shots. It's about GUITAR FACE, nothing else.

So...

Post only GUITAR FACE photos. Nothing else will make it through moderation.

If you don't know what GUITAR FACE is, find out by reading the description on the group page - and looking through the pool.

Photos MUST be of a guitarist in the act of playing - NOT merely holding - their guitar, in a live performance context.

NO portraits or self-portraits,
NO posed photos,
NO photos with face obscured by hair etc.
NO pets. Yes, people do submit photos with pets in. I don't care how cute your chihuahua looks, posed by your guitar - it's not GUITAR FACE so it's not getting in...

***NEW***
PUBLIC photos only. There's no point in submitting pictures to a public group if you don't want people to click through and look at them. So please don't submit photos that you've designated "Private". If we can't click through to your photo from the moderation queue, it's not getting in.

Just to make it clear: NO PORTRAITS

Please try to avoid posting batches of photos of the same performer at the same gig - unless they show significantly different examples of GUITAR FACE. This is not the place to dump a gig's worth of shots.

PICK YOUR BEST SHOT!

NO photos with band logos or URLs superimposed, or links to downloads. That's what MySpace is for.

Up to 4 photos per day may be submitted.

All submissions are subject to moderation. Sometimes we get 'borderline' faces. Then it's down to tossing a coin, or whether we like the artist, or if it's just a good photo with an 'almost' GUITAR FACE. It's an art, not a science.

If you submit a photo that doesn't make it into the pool, please FlickrMail 1hr photo (group admin) with a link to the photo, if you'd like it to be re-considered or commented upon. Please wait a couple of days, it may still be in the moderation queue.

Oh - one more thing - NO VIDEO
