Guess Where NYC Hall of Fame, part 2

view profile

Loon Man is a group administrator Loon Man says:

This thread is a continuation of the prior thread, Guess Where Hall of Fame. Visitors are encouraged to read both threads in order to get a look-see at spots in NYC which have captured more than one submitter's eyes.

Some locations seem to capture our shutter-imaginations over and over. It's impossible for everyone to know every place which has ever been submitted, but I suggest we gather together all places which have appeared here at least two or three times...

It's really not meant as a slight to anyone, just an appreciation that some locations have captured our eyes over and over.

There are over 4,500 photos in this pool, and it's impossible for anyone who submits a photo to Guess Where NYC to know them all.

When submitting a photo to the HOF, if you have links to additional examples of it, fine, post the links at the same time. But don't let NOT having other examples of it stop you. (If you see the links later you can always come back and edit your post. It's nice to actually show the other examples, but for some reason I have trouble capturing the image source for some photos, and have only posted links in those cases.)

PS: A large area, like Ground Zero, Central Park, or the Cathedral of St. John the Divine has many places to snap, and I don't think it's HOF material unless it's the same subject, for instance the statue of the angel strangling the devil next to the Cathedral.

Vidiot, those aren't the same places! I thought they were at first, but read the signs, they say different things. Mine is on prince between green and broome.

Edit: Or are they? I don't remember there being more than one sign...but the bricks are the same on the top of the building...I'm pretty sure I have my location right. Hm. Anyone who trolls that area willing to check it out and see if it's the same spot?

Edit the second: I just found our signs on forgotten ny, they are the same building. I lose.
