HOW TO PLAY

Please post your guesses as well as post new pictures. Trust us, this is much more fun when you can see what other people think your object is, and it's fun for them to see you YOU see things. So come on in...make a guess...

Post an obscure macro (or close up) image of some everyday object and comment on as many other posts as you can. Please try to keep your image posts limited to "everyday objects" that could be recognizable. While the statue in your local park may have a very interesting base to it, there's no way for somebody half-way around the world to guess that.

If you don't have a clue what it is...make a wild guess. Again, this is more fun when you get to hear what other people see in the image. There is only one "right" answer, but there are lots of fun answers. :) Don't be shy.

We do have a very friendly competition going on. Wait for guesses on your post. You earn a point for each wrong guess made before the first correct guess. You should reveal the subject when you get a correct guess. The post with points (wrong guesses) wins each week (Sunday to Sunday). You don't win anything big; just the pride of knowing that you stumped the rest of us.

New image posts are limited to 5 per day and winners will be chosen weekly (Sunday to Sunday).

Please tag your images with:

"guessable" while people are still guessing
"busted" when your image has been guessed

This will allow you to filter the images in the group by clicking on that tag from the pool photo page.

Obviously, if you don't comment, you're not awarding points. But, if everyone did that then no points would be earned. So please add a comment with your best guess to as many images as you can.

If your post isn't guessed by the end of the week (Sunday to Sunday), then points are tallied-up to that time. A thread may be setup to discus these pics if you wish.

Please be fair when marking guesses on your post! For example, some people may not know what a 'frosted corn flake' is. Since we have members from all over the world, not everyone will call it by the same name. Therefore, 'breakfast cereal' would be counted as a correct guess.

If an argument starts, then Sean will have the final say. But frankly speaking, if an argument starts...you need to relax. :) This is a game with nothing to win, so go have fun!
