Groninger Museum Photo Contest 2010:
The Groninger Museum building, with its bright colours and special shapes, is at times referred to as ‘dessert architecture’. For photographers it’s a real treat. You can tell by the marvellous photos to be found on internet and the visitors snapping away, inside and outside the museum. Some photographers have photographed the museum so often that they’ve found their own ideal spots to take their pictures.

Your picture of the Groninger Museum:
The museum closing at the Museumeiland 1 address and the temporary move to the old Groninger Museum building at Praediniussingel 59 seemed to us to be the ideal time to see what kinds of pictures have been taken of the museum throughout the years. Therefore, we’re on the lookout for photographers who have immortalised the Groninger Museum on –digital – film or who would like to do so again. Everyone can take a shot!

Groninger Museum Fotowedstrijd 2010:
Het gebouw van het Groninger Museum, met haar felle kleuren en bijzondere vormen wordt soms ook wel 'dessertarchitectuur' genoemd. Voor fotografen is het echt een snoepje. Je ziet het aan de fantastische foto’s die op het internet te vinden zijn en aan de bezoekers van het museum, die zowel binnen als buiten driftig klikken. Sommige fotografen hebben zelfs al een ideaal standpunt gevonden van waaruit ze de foto van het museum maken.

De sluiting van het museum op Museumeiland 1 en de tijdelijke terugkeer naar oude Groninger Museum aan de Praediniussingel 59, vinden wij hét moment om eens te kijken wat er in de loop der jaren aan beeldmateriaal van het Groninger Museum is gemaakt.
