04 May 09 - As of May 4, 2009, the Green and Blue Only group will become a moderated group. This means that any submission that you make to the pool will go first to the queue for review before inclusion in the pool. Over the next month, I will also be going through the pool and removing submissions that do not clearly meet the guidelines of the group. I encourage everyone to reread the group rules and honestly critique your work to assure that it belongs in the Green and Blue pool.

About Green or Blue Colors in NATURE

The Green or Blue Colors in NATURE group seeks only those photos that you, as the photographer, feel both meet the objectives of the group, and are unique or artful in some way. Submitting a dozen of your most recent vacation photos does not count! When deciding whether or not to submit your photo to this group, ask yourself, "Is the first impression one of color?" If you can't immediately look at your photo and feel the overwhelming sense of green/blue colors, I would reccomend not submitting it.

Thanks

Welcome to the Green or Blue Colors in NATURE group! The rules are deceptively simple:

1) photos must be primarily either green or blue or a combination of both.

2) photos must be of naturally occurring subjects. a lot of quality art work has been submitted to the group, but ONLY photos of green and/or blue NATURE subjects will be accepted. urban landscapes are acceptable. please refrain from submitting photoshop manipulations and artwork of a collage nature.

3) the color should fill primarily the whole frame, without a lot of noise or background distractions. remember the major focus here is color, not necessarily substance. abstraction is good!

3) please no more than three photos a day!

If you have any questions, please mail admin @ owleyes78.

Thanks!
