About Street Camera Work/Stieglitz
When Alfred Stieglitz published his seminal photograph “The Steerage” in1907 he said “…I saw shapes related to one another - a picture of shapes, and underlying it a (new) vision that held me…”
Henri Cartier- Bresson said “ To take a photo means to recognize – simultaneously and within a fraction of a second – both the fact itself and the rigorous organization of visually perceived forms that give it meaning…I craved to seize in the confines of one single photo, the whole essence of some situation that was unfolding before my eyes”
That is what this group is about – visual story-telling of ‘facts of the age and of the hour’.
Your intention when the scene came together in front of you, harmoniously and poetically rendered.
This group will collect and present only the very best of current street (loosely defined) photography.
