Yeah, everyone was talking about it. It would be a good complement to GR Digital, but it is GX and just want to see how good the overall performance is by fiddling with the actual camera before consider buying it...
It somewhat resembles to DP1, will Sigma brush-up its compact camera after seeing GX100?

OMG OMG OMG!!!
If the lens and photo quality is the same, plus SNAP mode and other GR D features, this will definitely be on my 'must buy!' list!!!
Okay, I've just looked at the specs, and it has 640x480@30fps movie, as well as Snap mode. If you can turn off the LCD while it is turned on, this camera will be a dream come true.

Yeah, the body does look familiar... :)
Anyhow, I really like primes, and that's why I ended up buying the GR... still this looks like a great move for Ricoh and I hope this one gets well sold in the US. They're just so much more well made and usable.

Folks who worry about camera obsolesce should be out taking pictures instead. What cameras other people have don't matter :)
The electronic attachable viewfinder is quite weird. I understand why they did at as there was no room for a zooming viewfinder, but it's still a bit strange.

The 24mm-72mm lens (19mm with conversion) & the viewfinder is the most interesting for me.
I will keep my GRD as long as I can ^ ^

From a focal length perspective, 72mm is not a lot of telephoto -- it's actually barely even telephoto :) One of my favorite SLR focal lengths is 85mm, and that's before applying a 1.6x multiplication factor. Even that isn't enough sometimes.
I'm kind of suprised they didn't try to get more range in there.
I suppose they deserve congratulations on not making too many comprimises and putting in a mediocre lens that covered a lot of range but was slower and not as sharp/contrasty.

!!! man that thing is sweet, even if its not gr type, all the specs look awsome. i like how it still resembles the grd alot. geez, right when i was bout to save my money...this comes along. cant wait to get it now. but id like to see some pics from it also. the removeable viewfider is also a cool feature too. plus it looks like it has image stabalazation. (sp)

Come to think of it , it is no GR as it does not come with GR kens. I want to see significant standings in images over other professional compact cameras. I want to see some samples also...

Yeah, Digltal Natura Black would be awesome! I would probably get one if Fujifilm come up with a compact S series starting at 28mm with 3x or 4x zoom :)
S700 is not even close to what I want!

Looks like the successor to the GRD for sure.
I love my GR, but there is always that 'ooh, newer one' factor.
Maybe we will get some amazing firmaware upgrade too!
Better video would be nice...

I need some advise from this group . I have been looking at the Ricoh GX 100 to replace my good old Fuji F-810 . I believe the Ricoh is the one as the stats look very good.............any thoughts ?
