About Grant Park, Atlanta

Grant Park. It is a historic district (National Register of Historic Places; Fulton County - #7900072), the cities oldest park (host to the Atlanta Zoo and Cyclorama) and a vibrant neighborhood of beautiful Victorian era architecture, urban decay & renewal in the city of Atlanta.

Please share your images of the people & sights of this neighborhood (which includes historic Oakland Cemetery) and the places around its boundaries. Photos of events which are Grant Park related (such as a school fundraiser) are also allowed. (I don't want to be a micro managing jerk; some shots from adjoining places such as Cabbagetown, Ormewood Park or Summerhill are fine but photographs from places farther away such as Buckhead, Midtown will be removed). Photographs can be artistic or documentary/archival snapshots. New and vintage images welcome. This is first a group for neighborhood images versus a group of fine art images. I strive to take some creative images and welcome them there but everyday snapshots of life in our place are most welcome here.

This is a low-key group for people to share their images of this section of town. This flickr group is not affiliated with any civic neighborhood associations or other flickr groups.



Grant Park is, of course, just part of the greater Atlanta area.
