About Grange Park Opera
For five weeks every Summer, The Grange in Northington comes to life again for the critically-acclaimed opera festival.
A summer evening at The Grange provides a unique and unforgettable experience; operas staged to the highest artistic standards in breath-taking surroundings. Guests arrive from 3.30pm, enjoying a glass of champagne and a stroll around the beautiful grounds. The 100 minute interval allows for stylish picnicking in elegant Indian pavilions. Meanwhile sparkling chandeliers, crumbling splendour and Alexander Creswell's trompe l'oeil hangings provide a dramatic and unique atmosphere for dining in the ancient house. All the ingredients combine to create a truly unforgettable evening.
When the curtain comes down at The Grange, the sister Festival at Nevill Holt near Medbourne opens in July featuring the Nevill Holt Rising Stars. The intimate 300 seat theatre in the stable courtyard is now complete as are the beautiful gardens. Nevill Holt with its stunning views over the Welland Valley provides a magical setting for an evening of opera.
