About Grad School

The various pains, pleasures, triumphs, infantilisations, toils, and everything and anything else that has to do with the most absurd pursuit in all of human endeavour: graduate school.

Submit photos or images of documents, conference programs, name tags, articles, books, lectures, research notes, acceptances, rejections, living conditions, syllabi, exams, and anything else that reminds you of or speaks to every aspect of the grad student existence. This includes the myriad things we all do and new habits and hobbies we acquire to deal with and accept the pressures of academia.

They really should make a movie or a television drama about grad students. Until then, it is up to us to chronicle our own experience. Let's try to demystify our lives by seeing others'. With a clarity unknown even to ourselves, and without the need for obscure terminologies we can document grad school in this period.

There is no limit to the number of photos you can submit at a time, so post as often as you want. It's egalitarian, and who among us doesn't crave equality over the cliquish hierarchies of academic departments.
