14 Feb 11 - Work has still been making it difficult to get much momentum going here on flickr, but I have been able to add stuff to the facebook page at:www.facebook.com/#!/pages/Government-Photographer/3469750.... It is a little bit more automated and updated more regularly at the moment. If you know others, feel free to bring them along :-), the more the better - for all of us.

About Government Photographers

There is a long history of photographers working for the government, staff or as contractor, but the numbers have been small. City, State, Federal employees that are responsible for using a wide range of skills and styles to document, inform, record, and illustrate what is going on for now and the future.

PhoJo, Portrait, Commercial, Illustrative, documentary, and studio techniques are all used interchangeably along with layout, design, and video skills. But, we are few and far between and many times taken for granted.

This is a group to talk about the challenges we face, show our work and share our problem solving strategies and skill sets.
