About Gouda bij kaarslicht Fotowedstrijd

16 december 2008 is Gouda de drukst bezochte stad van Nederland. Het is dan Kaarsjesavond. De kerstboom op de markt wordt ontstoken en duizenden kaarsen worden achter de ramen van het stadhuis en in de winkels die grenzen aan de markt aangestoken.

De hele avond zijn er activiteiten in de binnenstad en lichtkunstenaar Patrice Warrener verlicht het Stadhuis en de Sint-Janskerk weer op zeer spectaculaire wijze.

museumgoudA daagt u uit om tijdens deze avond de camera ter hand te nemen en op zoek te gaan naar die ene mooie foto. Plaats deze hier op Flickr en misschien wint u de wedstrijd!

Wedstrijdregels:
Regels met betrekking tot deelname
- Om een foto te plaatsen moet u zich aanmelden als lid van de groep.
- Elk groepslid mag maximaal 1 foto plaatsen. Meerdere foto's van een zelfde deelnemer zullen niet worden meegenomen in de wedstrijd.
- Iedereen mag commentaar geven op foto's van anderen.
- Iedereen mag tags plaatsen bij foto's van anderen.
- Foto's kunnen opgestuurd worden tot en met 16 januari 2009.
- De bekendmaking van de winnaar vindt in de week na 16 januari plaats.
- De curators van museumgoudA zijn de jury.
- Foto's die niets met kaarsjesavond 2008 te maken hebben worden door de moderators verwijderd.
- Medewerkers van museumgoudA zijn uitgesloten van deelname aan de wedstrijd.

On 16 December 2008 Gouda will be the most visited city in the Netherlands, because of Gouda by Candlelight. The christmas tree on the market square will be lit, as well as thousands of candles in the windows of the town hall and shops surrounding the square.

Throughout the night there will be festivities in the centre of town and light artist Patrice Warrener will once again spectacularly illuminate the town hall and St Jan Church.

museumgoudA challenges you to take your camera along and look for that one beautiful photo. Upload it here on Flickr and you might win the competition!

Competition rules:

- To upload a photo you will have to join the group.
- Every group member can upload just one photo. Multiple photos by one member will not be considered in the competition.
- Everyone can add comments to others’ photos.
- Everyone can tag other people’s photos.
- Photos can be uploaded up to and including 16 January 2009.
- The winner will be announced in the week after 16 January.
- The judging panel consists of the curators of museumgoudA.
- Photos not connected to Gouda by Candlelight will be removed by the moderators.
- Employees of museumgoudA are not allowed to participate in the competition.
