About Gorillapod Love

The Gorillapod is a little mini tripod I discovered in the summer of 2006 and immediately fell in love with that beautiful 'creature'. At the end of 2008 the Gorillapod family has four members. Pls. check out joby.com for details on the growing family.

What is Gorillapod LOVE good for - How it started

Necessary disclaimer: I am in no way related to the company which produces the Gorillapod.

After some research, well, simply looking for the tag "Gorillapod", I found out that already some Flickr members have posted some funny pictures with the Gorillapod as subject. As everybody is taking pix of cats I thought this group might be a nice alternative :-)

I'd love to see the Gorillapod in usual or unusual working conditions and of course pics made with GP are also welcome. Best is a combination of both :-)

Joby offers a special coupon code for Gorillapod LOVE on all products

Wow! What a fast reaction from the Gorillapod manufacturer Joby in 2006 because of the creation of Gorillapod LOVE. Melissa Burns from Joby shot this email at me:

"I have looked through your articles and websites on the Gorillapod. You have a lot of rich content and wonderful photos. I especially enjoyed the Gorillapod Love Flickr group. In honor of this group, we have created a special Coupon Code for you and your online friends called “GorillapodLOVE”. If you enter that code (all one word, no quotes) into the Coupon Code field on the www.Joby.com checkout screen, you and your friends will receive 10% off on all Joby products until the end of this year. Please feel free to advertise this on your sites!"

Update - Joby offers 15% on all products

To make a long story short; Joby since 2006 always extended the coupon code “GorillapodLOVE” and increased the discount to 15%.

2010 - Not as official as in the years before but via mail came the confirmation that Joby renews & confirms the special Gorillapod LOVE coupon code for 2010.

We at Joby are very big on customer service, and we hope that everyone has a positive experience with their Gorillapod and with us. That being said, sometimes the Gorillapods do develop very small cracks. This is rare, but it happens. We will replace these units free of charge - no questions asked.
