22 Dec 08 - After much thought, we have decided to change the theme of the Goddess pool from "images of female power" to "images of the divine feminine." The former was simply too difficult to define and moderate, resulting in a group that -- while celebrating the goddess in every woman -- was not particularly unique. We hope that the new theme will be more definitive and allow us to better honor the Goddess in her many guises. Thank you for understanding. We appreciate your participation!

IMAGES OF THE DIVINE FEMININE.

Images added to the pool should directly reference any of the hundreds of goddesses worshiped by cultures around the world, from ancient to modern times.

These could be anything from statues and paintings of mythological goddesses to contemporary women costumed to represent specific deities. Images that contain the word "goddess" or known symbols of the goddess (for example, the moon) are also welcome.

It would be helpful if your image's title, description or tags included the name of the goddess it portrays (e.g., Gaia, Artemis, Isis, Kali, Quan Yin, Mother Nature, etc.).
