About Glowbugs (Ham Radio)
Welcome!
Glowbug is a term used by ham operators to generally mean simple vacume tube ham equipment that is usually (but not necessarily) home made with tender lovin care.
It generally represents the spirit of ham radio craftsmanship and design before the event of the printed circuit.
Glowbugs represent great achievements through refined yet simple designs in an all but discarded technology of vacume tubes.
There is a community of hams that keeps this spirit alive and continues to build and operate GLOWBUGS.
Photo Descriptions and Friendly Comments are encouraged
Please post photos of your glowbug station & equipment/ parts
