A group for Globe and Mail readers who want to share their photos for use at globeandmail.com.

As part of Photo Desk, our online camera club, we do regular assignments on weekly themes. Each week, a Globe photo editor selects one reader image for publication in the Friday edition of the newspaper. You can use this group to participate in the weekly assignment, or to simply share your images with other photo enthusiasts. Submissions are approved by an editor before they appear in the group.

Generally, the larger the image the better. Please also include a caption with details on when the image was shot. If you want the image to be considered for the weekly assignment, please ensure the download option is enabled. If we choose your image for publication in the newspaper, we'll contact you through Flickr mail, so please check your inbox.

By uploading a photo, users agree that they have the right to distribute the content in question, and that it may be used by The Globe and Mail for online and paper publishing purposes. Occasionally, we may also use an image in the newspaper to promote our online galleries.
