incrivel, uma surpresa atras da outra, e quando acaba , da vontade de ver de novo .Um trabalho, com linhas, caminhos de luz, traçados fortes, marcas que mostram o o estilo do trabalho do Augusto . a imagem #17 me fascinou pela sua simplicidade e pela forma como a luz flutua no espaço . imagem #15 incrivel composiçao das sombras , enfim todas as imagem tem suas particularidades que me agradaram muito. Parabens, por esses e por todo o seu trabalho .

You know that I am an admirer of your very...very..personal abstract work
The best asphalt pictures are in my opinion the ones with the signs...
They always tell a story that can be told in many different ways, but there's always YOUR guidance in mind!
On a motorway you are directed in a fixed direction and signs are the same for everyone....but where you end up at last is personal!
Love your style and eye...
I especially like nr. 6 (a face)and nr. 10 and 16 ( a dream)

Thank you for the invitation, Augusto. It's great to see these all together. I miss your great titles, though. If this "art gallery" allows it, I would love to see them added here, for they are an important dimension of your work I think.
Beside the connection between titles and pictures, I also enjoy your ashpalt photos where an other element intervenes to confuse our perception and make us see another dimension. Like the reflection of the sky in #10, the tunnel's roof in 13 or, even more radical, the suggestion of a dotted line on the sky in #8.
This will not be news to you, but I love your take on things. Congratulations.

Augusto,
this series is stunning. I always had a soft spot for your asphalt photos and have spent some time on them. Nos. 1, 15, 20 are particularly appealing to me.
The contrast, the deep black and vibrant yellows are irresistible.
And the composition is well thought and critically effective.
The major thing though is the atmosphere, the mood they radiate. They inevitably lead me to Lynch's "Lost Highway" a quite tense film.

Me gusta la serie, me gusta mucho. Me gusta el color del asfalto, que uno siempre espera tirando a rojo, y en caso tiene reflejos azulinos... un universo asfáltico
Pero las que mas me atraen son: 3, 10, 16, 17.
Y si tengo que elegir una, no sabría si quedarme con la 10 o 17...

Por poco me quedo sin ver la exposición del año!!
Estaba fuera de viaje y me he encontrado al volver con la enorme sorpresa de tu exposición online. Tu ya conoces mi admiración por tus fotos y, en especial, por las del tema asfalto. Máxima conceptualización, atmósferas inquietantes, casi cinematográficas y, siempre, con una técnica perfecta. Enhorabuena Augusto y espero seguir disfrutando de tus imágenes durante mucho tiempo!

I want to leave my sincere thank you to the Art Cafe group and it' s administrators for the invite to show some “asphalt”. I specially want to thank Doris (domido) for her great sense of organization and guidance to help me to put together "asphalt" ...and I’m sure lots of great works will follow in the next exhibitions from the other members of the group.
