About Global Women's Voices

This group was created by the Guardian Global development site team to mark the 100th anniversary of International Women's Day. We asked readers' to submit images about issues facing women in their country. From those submitted, we created a great gallery on the site from the 2011 images Messages for UN Women - in pictures.

To mark International Women's Day 2012 we gathered up some of the images submitted from 2011-2012 for a new a gallery - International Women's Day 2012: Your photos

We've enjoyed them so much, and had so many more great images submitted in response, we're going to run another gallery of women's images next week (12-16 March 2012) so please continue to spread the word and add you pictures!

One request! Please could you submit to our main Flickr group - we have been focusing attention there for some time, rather than here, and have lots of great gender images there too.
