Cos'è Global Macro?
Global Macro è il progetto che noi (Kay84 e Anna Scattolin) stiamo realizzando per la nostra tesi, intitolata "Global Macro - come internet e la fotografia creano connessioni tra persone e visioni"

Si tratta di un esperimento prettamente ludico, e parte dall'idea che la fotografia macro lavora con mondi estremamente piccoli espandendoli, proprio come la "fotografia in internet" come Flickr lavora con i punti di vista delle persone espandendoli in una prospettiva globale.

Il nostro obiettivo è vedere i vostri mondi fuoriuscire dalle nostre macro, e qui sotto è spiegato come.

Come Funziona
Allora, in fondo trovate dieci differenti macro scattate da noi. Sono descritte utilizzando alcuni tag, che potete leggere sotto ciascuna foto. Ogni tag è diviso in due parti, MG (che sta per Global Macro) e la parola descrittiva.

Voi dovete semplicemente scegliere una foto dal vostro stream che pensate sia più legata a una o più macro delle nostre (in base alle descrizioni dei tag) e postarla nel gruppo. Dopo di che aggiungete alla vostra foto il o i tag che avete scelto dalle macro, esattamente come sono scritti (fate conto che sono in inglese, ma a lato di ciascuno c'è la traduzione in italiano).

Un esempio
Mettiamo che vi piace la nostra macro della foglia morta e decidete di legarla contestualmente a una foto di una mappa che avete nel vostro stream e che aggiungete al gruppo. I nostri tag sono molti, ma decidete che solo "MGcrosshair" (reticolo) descrive pienamente il significato della vostra foto (è quindi un significato in comune con la nostra), e così aggiungete il tag. Dopo di che vedete che anche "MGgeometry" (geometria), che tagga la nostra macro del tombino, descrive la vostra foto della mappa, e così aggiungete anche quello.

Ora, quando qualcuno cliccherà su uno di quei tag vedrà anche la vostra foto assieme alle altre - e alla Macro che le ha "generate": un microcosmo che rimanda ad altri micro/megacosmi!

Cosa dovete/potete fare:
- dovete aggiungere la vostra foto al gruppo
- dovete taggare la foto con uno o più tag che trovate sotto le macro
- siete invitati a commentare o favare almeno una foto del gruppo - non obbligati, ma invitati...
- potete aggiungere tutte le foto che volete
- potete proporre tag nuovi nel forum del gruppo
- potete chiedere qualsiasi cosa vogliate nel forum del gruppo :))

What's Global Macro?
Global Macro is a project by us (Kay84 and Anna Scattolin) designed for our thesis, entitled "Global Macro - How internet and photography create connections between people and visions".

This is a "ludic experiment", and starts from the idea that macro photography works with extremely little worlds expanding them, just like "internet photography" (like Flickr) works with people's own point of view and expands it into a global perspective.

Our goal is to see your worlds from our macros, and below it's explained how to do it.

How it works
We published ten different macros taken by us. They are described using some tags you can read below each photo. Every tag is divided in two parts, MG (which is Global Macro) and the word itself.

You have just to choose one photo of yours which you think is similar to one or more of our macros (as described from the tags!) and post it. Then add to your picture the tags you choose from the macros.

An example
You like our dead leaf macro and decide to "contextually link" it to a photo of a map you took. Our tags are a lot, but you decide that only "MGcrosshair" fully describes your picture, and add the tag to it. Then see that also "MGgeometry" (which tags our manhole macro) describes your photo of a map, and add it too.
Now when someone will click on one of those tags will see your picture, along with other pictures - and the Macro which "generated" them: a microcosmos which links to other micro/megacosmos!

What you must/can do:
- you must add your photo to the group
- you must tag your photo with one or more tags you see below the macros
- you are invited to comment or fave at least one photo from the group - not obliged, but invited to...
- you can add as much photos you like to add
- you can ask everything you want on the discussion board :))
