About Glass Negatives
Photographic images obtained from glass negatives, dry plate (emulsion) or wet plate (collodion). You can scan the negative, or scan a print from the negative. Experiments with alternative process printing (cyanotype, van dyke, bromoil, etc.) is encouraged. Most glass negatives are antiques, and not created by the poster. Please provide a description of the image and how you aquired it (made it yourself, passed down by family, flea market, etc.).
Be sure to check out the group for tintypes (metal backed positives), ambrotypes (glass positives) and wet plate (glass positives or negatives): www.flickr.com/groups/wetplate/.
