Who We Are

The Great Lakes Art Fair is the Midwest’s fastest growing fine art fair! The GLAF offers select artists and their patrons an expansive new marketplace that is delivering fresh energy and enthusiasm to the regional art community. This bi-annual show is presented by the Rock Financial Showplace in collaboration with Constance Mettler, a doyenne of the national art fair network since 1979, and Mark Loeb, owner of the renowned art event production company Integrity Shows.

The juried component of the GLAF features 200 local, regional, and national artists representing a wide variety of mediums. The Great Lakes Art Fair also features select epicurean items, educational demonstrations, art based entertainment, and cultural outreach efforts. Powerful involvement and support from the regional artistic community has allowed the event to expand very quickly, setting the stage for the GLAF to become a preferred bi-annual destination event for fine artists from all mediums and those appreciating the unique opportunity to peruse their work in one central location

Show Concept

Each spring and fall the Great Lakes Art Fair offers a vivid decorative motif that celebrates the season in a village marketplace setting. The GLAF also offers delicious bistro style dining from award-winning Epoch Catering in the marketplace café, as well as luxurious show floor spa treatments, engaging artist demonstrations and many other elements that are unique to the Great Lakes Art Fair. All of this indoors without concern for the weather!

Location

The Rock Financial Showplace is located in Novi, Michigan, nestled in Western Oakland County, one of the nation’s most affluent areas. Spring 2009 marked the debut of the Great Lakes Art Fair, although the Rock Financial Showplace has been familiar to patrons as a premier indoor venue for specialty art fairs for more than a decade. The GLAF combines exclusive and desirable works from local, regional and national artists, supported by an extensive marketing and promotion campaign aimed at creating maximum interest and traffic.
