About Give a face to justice for Troy Davis

On 17 August 2009, the US Supreme Court ordered an evidentiary hearing in the case of Troy Davis who has been on death row in Georgia for 18 years for the murder of a police officer in August 1989 he maintains he did not commit. Troy Davis has faced three execution dates in the past two years as the State of Georgia has continued to seek to kill him despite the fact that most of the witnesses it relied upon to convict Troy Davis in August 1991 have since recanted their testimony.

The hearings are crucial for Troy Davis, both for his life and for justice to be finally deserved in this case: we need to stand up right now!

We are creating a giant image of Troy made up of thousands of faces of people who support the call for justice in his case. The large composite image will be displayed in various venues around the world to educate people about his story and keep up the pressure so that justice will finally be served! His hearing could be declared at any time, so please act quickly.
