About Gilgal Garden
Gilgal Garden is a unique scuplture garden located in Salt Lake City, Utah. Located at 749 East 500 South, it was created by Thomas Child as a tribute to his Latter Day Saint religion. Some 12 sculptures are set in the garden, including a Joseph Smith sphynx made semi-famous (at least locally) in Trent Harris's movie Plan 10 from Outer space. When asked what it means, the heroine of the tale is met simply with the response "It is a Joseph Smith sphynx."
Child spent much of his life constructing the garden, which was thankfully rescued from becoming part of a condo complex by Salt Lake City.
