I have decided that the next phase of the project will be categorising signs according to the type of product advertised. This means that comparisons can be drawn between the approaches of different competing companies or the same company over time (e.g. Brymay vs Criterion Matches, or Gillette's back catalogue).

It would be great to start tagging photos in the pool so that those from specific categories can be quickly found. Please tag your own and, if you have time, others' photos against the following initial categories:

1. Booze, fags & matches (see video montage)
