About ghostsigns

The Aim
This group is dedicated to creating a collection of UK & Ireland Ghostsign images for donation to an online archive hosted by the History of Advertising Trust (HAT). HAT is a registered charity, 276194. This will help ensure that this fading piece of advertising, craft and commercial history is preserved by a team of experts for the benefit of future generations' education and understanding. Your support for this aim will be much appreciated and you should complete and return a signed copy of this form to offer your images as a gift to HAT.

The Format
Given that the aim is to create an archive that will be of value for many years please try to provide as much background information as you can, including:
- Photograph location (either via geotagging or listing the town, street name and postcode)
- Photograph date (month and year if possible, otherwise just year)
- Photographer name
- Any interesting facts or background information relevant to the sign of the company featured
- The relevant tag (more here)
