About ghost in the shell

Surreal Sea Shell, Fossil and bleached bone group.
We want moody, surreal shells, close-ups, sections or on site photographs.
Remember, these were living breathing plants and animals.
We pay tribute to their lives and respect their 'ghost in the shell' !
Please feel free to join with your moody and or surreal shell images.

Shell dwelling animals or mollusks were once living and breathing, we want to pay tribute to these little wonders of nature, the cleaners of the seven seas, the charmers of children, the inspiration of Architects, Artists and Writers.
Its easy if you live near the coast. If not, we include the bleached bones of animals, shells of the once land living..
Also:
Fossils: a relic or representation of a plant or animal that existed in the past geological age, occurring in the form of mineralized bones, shells, and insects.

Amber: a yellow translucent fossil resin derived from extinct coniferous trees and often containing trapped insects.

Pearls and Coral etc.

Our aim is the search for the ghost in the shell. Remember, its the outer shell or bones, Not the body. Its the 'spirit' of the thing!

Think of yourselves as archeologists discovering the dried, desiccated
and perhaps the fossilized remains of the long since departed
and try to capture the atmosphere of finding that creature or coming across the shells of the long dead used in an interesting surreal way.

Do not add:
The freshly dead or restaurant killing tanks or dishes please!
No animal expoitation, no roadkill or rotting flesh please!
No recipes, or table spreads of dead things..
Please respect the departed..

Please remember we have Zero tolerance of animal exploitation and most of our Admins are vegetarian..
