About GGT UK Yellow Oilseed Rape (Rapeseed) Focus Group

Images of the biofuel crop Yellow Oilseed Rape (Rapeseed) in the UK at all stages of its growth, development, cultivation, harvesting, and processing to create biodiesel. As well as general scenic shots of the crop, this group welcomes ALL images that are able to illustrate the crop/plants i.e. growth at different stages, height, blooms, seed pods, etc... and in addition we also welcome any shots that illustrate the crop's impact within the British environment i.e. the fact that our Land is year by year being transformed from a traditionally GREEN, lush, pleasant landscape into one that's violent yellow. This group also WELCOMES any pics you can submit that illustrate the affects this crop has upon your HEALTH i.e. throat, nose, eyes, skin, etc.

If anyone can submit AERIAL shots of the landscape that illustrate the extent of Yellow Oilseed Rape cultivation in any region these photos would be VERY welcome. Thank you.

If you're able to pictorially follow the life of a crop in your area from its first growth to its harvesting then this record would be most valuable to the group for education purposes.

Go Green Today (GGT) WELCOMES discussion within the group forum about ANY and ALL issues related to Yellow Oilseed rape and would like your opinions about the adverse health effects of the blooming crop, and also how you feel about the transformation of the British landscape.

PLEASE NOTE: It's extremely important that either in the title of your photo or in its description you state WHERE the photo was taken (i.e. at least the region) and most importantly the EXACT DATE the photo was taken (i.e. 12th April 2007, or at least 'early April 2007'), because this information is VITAL for Go Green Today's ongoing research into the development and spread of Yellow Oilseed Rape cultivation in the UK. GGT UK Yellow Oilseed Rape (Rapeseed) Focus Group was started by GO GREEN TODAY (GGT) which is a Registered Charity in the UK. This Group is a special focus group that's the partner of one of our other Flickr Groups called 'GGT UK BIOFUELS', which you're most welcome to join also. The purpose of this particular focus group is to help raise public awareness about Yellow Oilseed Rape (Rapeseed) in the UK and the many issues that surround it; including its negative affects upon public health and its impact upon the traditional visual landscape of Britain, so that proper informed dialogue can be undertaken regarding the true benefits and disadvantages of growing this relatively new UK crop.
