About [CCTV & observation] You observe me? - I'll shoot back
We shoot back.
This group is intended to document the total observation of our everyday life. In order to do this we collect photos from CCTV cameras, monitors, warnings, signs, et cetera.
In London the average citizen becomes filmed 300 times a day by surveillance cameras, most larger cities around the globe are not far from that by now. Thanks to closed-curcuit television it is already possible to create a complete profile of where you go and what you do. Coming together with telecommunications data retention, ID cards and passports with biometrical data, consuming profiles based on customer and credit cards, you could draw the conclusion that a totalitaristically observing society has already become reality. Those who see these grey boxes and do not think of "televisors" did not read "1984". Everybody is a "Gläserner Büger" (German idiom: the Lucent Citizen). We want to show it.
Get your camera and shoot back.
Geotagged photos appreciated!
