Geotagging on My Flickr Map
|
Hi, I have spent some time locating my photos on my Flickr Map. What I was hoping to see when I completed was a map that showed little dots everywhere around the world where I had taken photos. What I wound upwith is just a dot where the last 20 or so photos are located. How can I see an overall map of where my photos are taken, so that I can then zoom in on that area and see what photos were taken in that area. I hope I am explaining myself properly.
Thanks.

When I go to my map it shows all my 'mapped' pics (over 2000).
Click in the grey arrow next to 'You' at the top of your page. Then click on 'My map' you have to move the thumbnail bar along at the bottom and the next batch show up.

I guess I didn't quite explain myself clearly. Perhaps what I am asking for is not possible. When I bring up My Map, I see the thumbnail bar along the bottom, but only the images that are showing on that bar are marked on the map. Any photos that are not along that bar are not marked on the map until I scroll that bar and then it repositions the dots on the map to correspond with the photos along the bar.
What I am looking for is (and it probably isnt available) is an option to display the locations of every single photo, not just the 20 or so that show up on the bar. I would like to look at my map and see all the different locations where I have photos and if I then zoom in on a location it will show more precisely those photos. My map would have hundreds of dots all over the world, rather than 2 dots that represent the photos displayed on the scroll bar.

You explained it fine. It just don't seem to do that - unfortunately.

Like Buckeye said, that looks like the way it works.
I hadn't noticed that limit before, glad you pointed it ou.
I wonder what would happen and how long it would take to symbolize and aggregate at each scale of view over 2,000 images?
Sounds like performance nightmare.
If you find a work around, I'd love to know.

Off the mark. You can see all geotagged flickr photos in Google Earth with:
