Your phone is with you all the time. Your phone knows where you are (it does). Your camera is also with you. Your camera does NOT know where you are... ZoneTag can now fix this sad state of affairs. You don't even need a GPS device!
What you will need:
1. A Nokia Series 60 2nd Edition phone (6682, N70, N90 and more)
2. ZoneTag inside.
3. Willingness to pay minimal data plan costs.
4. Willingness to follow instructions.
5. Optional: a BlueTooth GPS device (current favorite).
How does it work?
Just like a GPS device, ZoneTag can log your location; you upload the logs directly from the phone to our server. ZoneTag can then match the time-stamped log points to your Flickr photos (in a easy-to-use web interface, no cables needed).
If you do not have a BlueTooth GPS to go with ZoneTag:
ZoneTag logs your whereabouts in terms of cell towers, not GPS points. Later, when geotagging the photos, ZoneTag tries to convert the cell tower information to real-world locations, using our cell tower location database. If ZoneTag doesn't recognize the current tower location, you can enter it on Flickr, and ZoneTag will learn it for future photos (and, as a bonus feature, the cell tower data is available to anyone via our APIs).
If you have a BlueTooth GPS device, even better:
ZoneTag can be used for accurate geotagging and logs your whereabouts, just like a regular GPS device, but better (easier): no cables are needed, just upload the logs and select photos to geotag (and, as a bonus feature, can return your log in GPX format, just like any GPS would, so you can use it elsewhere).

p.s. If you want to make all this happen for your own phone model, we can help via web-based APIs. Email zonetag-feedback at yahoo-inc.com to get details.
