I love the State of Georgia with all of it's diversity. I would like to dedicate this group to a State I use to call home.
All photos of Georgia are welcomed. Anything Georgia; people, places, sites, activities, etc.
Due to request there is now a 20 photos a day limit. This will be reviewed after a trail period and may change back to no limits, depending on members feedback.
This is a family oriented site so please consider the children that may view this.

Sixes Mill (also known locally as Gresham's Mill): Site of an early Cherokee settlement and later a gold mine in the early 1830’s. This was also a military removal encampment for the Georgia Militia during the “Trail of Tears” in 1838. The current mill on Duke’s Creek was rebuilt between 1878 and 1880. West of I-575 on Sixes Rd.
