a note April 08: in the change by flickr to add Group Intake Filters, a mistake was made by them (that never happens, does it?) which commits a group to being 18+ for allowing Moderate content, even though that is viewable by teens otherwise. additionally, this would make this group invisible to millions of flickr members in germany, china, hk, singapore, indonesia, vietnam, malaysia, uae, saudi arabia and korea, to name a few. i won't allow that.

so until this is repaired by flickr, this group can only accept SAFE images, and nothing else. please don't cheat and re-flag pics that are clearly not safe. that will not end well for anyone. as soon as this coding error is fixed by flickr, we will add back moderate content posting. and for the short term, yes, video posting is disabled.

these are tough times for people who view science as something more than some mumbo-jumbo gobbledegoo... does the average person really identify with shooting moose with semiauto rifles from turbojet choppers over the tundra?
