About Generous Comments (Please comment on other people's photos!!!)
We all like to get Generous Comments on our photos so, if you upload a photo to the group, it would be very much appreciated if you left a comment on at least 1 other photo of the pool.
REMINDER: whenever commenting on the photos of the pool or on the "Comment Me!" threads, please, add to your comment:
Seen on the <a href="http://www.flickr.com/groups/generouscomments/">*Generous Comments*</a> group.
It will look like this: Seen on the *Generous Comments* group.

WHAT IS THIS GROUP ALL ABOUT? SOME PRESENTATION AND RULES:
*Regras em português - AQUI*
*Les règles en français - ICI*
*Reglas en español - AQUÍ*
1)The "aim" of the group - This group is an invited only community for those people who always give the most generous comments on other people's photos. By generous comments we mean comments that add something to the photographer, whether they are technical, aesthetical, interpretative, emotional... It doesn't matter on which field they are focused, but that they are more than the oneliners, simple, meaningless words that we see almost everywhere around Flickr. The aim of this group is to gather all generous commentators together, so that we all can receive more of that kind of contribution we're always spontaneously able to give.
What's a generous comment? Some examples HERE
And don't forget, a generous comment can be given in any language, not only in english, since the author of the photo manages to understand the language you're writing.
2)The "invitation" - People here are invited for the comments they make. Once in the group, they may add one photo per day at the pool and they can also participate at the "Comment me" threads, as well as they can be elegible as "Photographer of the week". Only members of this group can invite other members and this invite shall be given by the quality of their COMMENTS. So, if you want to join in, start giving generous comments on other people's photos and you might be noticed.
*HERE* is the thread for you who wants to join in and hasn't been invited already.
3)The "Comment Me" threads - But the best part is that the members can add one photo to one of the "Comment me" threads that they would like to be commented by other members. They can specify or not why they're choosing that single photo (technical doubts, in need of aesthetical evaluations, curious about what that photo generates at other people, and so on). There will be 8 ARCHIVE "Comment me" threads only and the comments shall be given at the person's photo, not at the thread. The last photo posted in each one of them will be transferred to an ACTIVE Comment me thread, where all members can view all 8 photos in a row and decide in which they want to comment on. After two weeks time, the person that asked for comments will go back to the thread he/she opened and indicate whose member gave the most useful comment on that photo. That will be the person enabled to post the next photo on that thread asking for comments.
Below is the ACTIVE thread, where the 8 most recent photos asking for comments are posted. Do comment in one or in all of them and you have the chance of one (or more) of the authors choosing you as the best commentator. And, believe me, people give excellent comments on these threads. The hard work and careful attention is worthed here.

If you doubt it, take a look on one of our ARCHIVES, click on anyone of the photos displayed and view for yourself the kind of excellent comments our members are generously giving one another:

4)The "Photographer of the week" contest - This thread's aim is to showcase a photographer's work in depth, so that we can all follow each others work, proccess, progress with a more detailed view. There are great artists here on Flickr and it would be nice if we can all discover them and recognize their value. So, each week the administrators will choose one member as the "Photographer of the week" and write a critical review of his/her work, showcasing some of his/her photos for everybody to get in touch with them. This person would be able, if desired, to add up to five photos of his/her pool to the thread, different from the ones the admins had chosen. And, everybody who feels moved by those images are free to comment on those chosen photos (not on the thread). It's a deserved recognition for the hard work everybody here is doing.

5) The "How Did They Do That" thread - So every week we are now going to post a photo that has a look of difficulty to the making of it. The designer of this photo will be asked questions about their photo and they will tell us what they did from start to finish before they placed it in Flickr. This discussion's aim is to help other photographers learn new tricks and techniques for their work.
How Did They Do That with Patrick Lavin
So, this is it for now. Further rules will be created when necessary.
We hope you all enjoy this group and share your generosity, consideration and respect with all of us.
And, don't forget, if you really feel like engaging with someone else today, then click into this group. Otherwise, save it for later.
