About Geevor Tin Mine Museum

Geevor, covering an area of 67 acres, is dramatically sited on Cornwall’s Atlantic coast. It is the largest mining heritage site in the UK and the only place where you can see how tin was mined and processed.

Explore the museum and the huge range of mine buildings complete with original machinery at your own pace. The highlight of the visit is an underground tour into a real 18th century mine with a friendly expert guide.

Geevor is an important part of the World Heritage Site area for Cornish mining recognised by UNESCO in 2006.

Geevor has created a group on the photo sharing website flickr so that all our visitors who are taking brilliant photographs of the site and of the events taking place here can share them with others.

We would like to see your photos added to our flickr group so that we can view the site through your eyes.

Here Cornwall’s mining history comes to life.
