Vincent, it's both beautiful and intriguing. Makes you wonder what it is. I viewed, faved, and commented on this one five months ago, so I know. ;-)

Honestly, I'm not sure why this one is so popular:

Raphael, it's probably so popular because it's unique. How many photos does one see like that? Between your hand, the tiny frog, and the even tinier flowers, the sense of scale is dramatic. There's also a perfect balance of "weight" in the composition, and the diagonal lines of your fingers add repetition and pattern.

These are all beautiful images. Just a reminder, choose your most popular photo that's SafeSearch "Safe" and that you are proud of as an artist. We all may have photos in our photostreams that are rated "most interesting" because of something other than their artistic merit, but those aren't the ones we want to celebrate here. Just remember: photos that would make mother proud, that you would show your grandmother, coworkers, niece/nephews, children, gallery owner, etc. :-)

I'm guessing from your reminders that some people are posting their most popular cock shots......
Hee hee hee.
I bet that any group with a slightly dirty-sounding name gets a lot of, well, let's say inappropriate attention. I ended up deleting half the members of my Animals having sex group because they were clearly porno-robot-spammers.

Thanks, smiller555 for sparing us the photo that was most popular for its prurient appeal. ;-)
Thanks, sweber4507, for the link. You are welcome to post the medium size photo to this thread. If you don't know how to add a photo to a thread, read here.

After three months from the last post, I thought the results would have changed... but this remains my most popular in the "interesting" and "favorite" categories (go figure)

but in the "views" category, this one has almost 5x more views

So metaphorically, #1 is the electoral college victor, and #2 is the popular vote.

Reminder: Post only family-friendly images. If your most popular photo by Interestingness is not family-friendly, then post the next one that is.
Also, if you edit and replace a photo that you've added to a discussion thread, that image will no longer appear in the discussion because the link breaks.
If anyone sees a photo that isn't family-friendly, or is no longer available, please alert a Moderator or Admin. Thanks!

This one is by far my most viewed picture. I guess the reason is sort of self-explanatory. Don't know if it's boys or girls checking out these roller derby folks, but I have great admiration for these Madison, WI Grrrrls.

Please note: when you add a photo to a group discussion, please add it to the group pool as well. Thanks.
Has your most popular photo changed? Check it out: at the top of any Flickr page, click on You; then, under Your Photostream, click on Popular. The photo that comes up as #1 by Interestingness is the one we want to see here. And please, as long as you took it and it's family-friendly, add it to our group pool as well. :-)
