About G A T E S ..... an invitation to explore :)

I love GATES and the views beyond and around them ....... mainly the old wooden and metal gates that have stood there for years and years with that mystery of who has opened them over the many centuries and all the shapes, sizes and colours that they come in ....... I love the imagery of an open gate it is the invitation to adventure and to explore new areas of yourself and the world around you .......

Just enjoy the group which I hope will soon be full of all those wonderful GATES that are around us all and please try to look through the photo's that are here and if you like any of them in the group it would be so nice if you would comment ..... it's nice to get compliments and always very welcome :) :)

THAT OPEN GATE ........

The path led through an open gate,
New pastures there to find.
Just a few steps were needed now,
To leave the past behind.

An unknown future awaited
My intrepid heart's desire,
To face a new tomorrow,
And set the world on fire.

Only a short distance was remaining,
Between me and the unexplored.
So I crossed the boundary to the unseen,
That on the other side, was stored.

But the track turned rough and stoney,
And was not the hoped for aim,
So I passed back through that open gate,
And returned from whence I came.
