About Urban Garden Squares
Green spaces in urban agglomerations have become a luxury: In some countries they gradually disappear to the point where "garden cities" become a utopia. Buildings which overlook garden squares tend to be much prized and more so those which benefit from private gardens in a square. Nineteenth century London has developped a lot of garden squares in Victorian residential areas, especially to the West of the city, but elsewhere in Britain, in Spain and the New World such examples exist.
