About The Birds of Ganeshgudi

At bngbirds we realise that birding sites are often not well documented with regional guides. By creating a collection of photographs of birds (and other fauna) photographed at Ganeshgudi (near Dandeli), we want to build a living guide for the location that'll help others know what to expect and potentially even make IDs without a field guide.

This group is public, so we expect you to exercise your discretion when adding your photos. Just a few simple rules:
* Post pictures from Ganeshgudi and surrounding areas only.
* Information on where exactly you saw the birds is very helpful for other birders; e.g. Dandeli Timber Depot. This is not mandatory if you don't agree with the practice, but we'd really appreciate it.
* Please don't place copyright restrictions on your pictures. Wildlife observation is still a very young craft in our country and sharing is good. We request that you change the settings of the pictures you place on this group, so that they are Creative Commons. If you wish to retain commercial rights for your pictures, you can even choose a non-commercial license. This ensures that people can still make copies of your pictures and use them with attribution for educational and learning purposes; without feeling bad about infringing your copyright.
