About Thousand Islands Region

Ever been to the Thousand Islands? The area is a popular summer destination for all ages and interests. It is the home of the Boldt Castle, built by George Boldt for his wife, who died during its construction, and he never finished it. It is an area rich with scenery, and absolutely beautiful. The Adirondacks are an hour away, adding to its allure. There are over one thousand islands in the area on the St. Lawrence river.
