About Female Self-Portrait Artists' Support Group ;-)

We're the Female Self Portrait Artists' Support Group, also known as FSPASG. We're a supportive, nurturing, loving group of women who enjoy each other's photography, company, creativity, and inspiration. We pride ourselves on our supportive, friendly atmosphere, our generosity with our tea and biscuits, and our smokin' peachy dockeys.

Before you click that "join" button, here are the pre-requisites:

1. You must be female. If you are male, you will get immediately declined. Do not even try. Seriously. We check.
It does help if you can state 'female' on your profile.

2. You must have a demonstrated interest in self-portraiture. This means more than just a handful of self-portraits taken in your bathroom mirror. We're looking for women dedicated to the genre. We are not looking for a veritable buffet of arm's length-myspace-angles-no artistry-look at me pout "self portraits." We're looking for women who make art out of themselves.

3. Your self-portraits should be tagged "self," "self-portrait," or something similar, and/or be in their own set. They should be easy to find, basically. Please make an effort to group your self portraits together, before applying to join, to decrease risk of being declined!

4. You should be open to the idea of a supportive group of women who will welcome you and want to get to know YOU and your photos!

If, for some reason, you have a collection of self-portraits that are not public (and thus not readily found by our membership checkers), please send a note to Miss Aniela, Bas Bleu, or Brady* and explain your situation. They'll help you out.

Show your support for the women in the FSPASG by telling them, and everyone else, where you saw their photo. Just copy this code and paste it into the comment box.
