08 Jun 10 - Add your Fab Fungi Fotos (FFF) here. Fungi history is a long one, but they aren't preserved as fossils, so their pre-historic traces are rare, so we have an opportunity to record their short but wonderful lives here. Please feel free to recuit others and check out my other amusing group www.flickr.com/groups/1361295@N23/ which is about, the you Fabulous Fungi Fotographers

About Mushrooms & other fungi (Your Fab Fungi Fotos, FFF)Remember that in a world without fungi, all fallen trees, leaf litter, animal remains and other debris would accumulate until the surface of the planet resembled a vast refuse tip, with little room for living things to exist. The job of breaking down organic materials and recycling the component molecules back into the environment is just one of the essential roles of fungi. Once regarded as simple plants, they are now thought of as a separate kingdom. Share your pictures of Mushrooms and fungi, because you love them and want others to love them. For those of you who love to eat them, there are other sites where your fotos will be appreciated, but not here, thanks for respecting. |
