About Fritzlar

Fritzlar - View this group's most interesting photos on Flickriver

The cathedral and imperial city is considered the place in which both the Christianity of Central and Northern Germany (with the cases of Donareiche in the year 723 by Pope Boniface), as well as the medieval German Reich (with the election of King Henry I of the German at the Reichstag of 919) took their beginning.

Fritzlar the name is derived from the original title = Friedeslar place of peace.

Duns is characterized by an almost completely preserved city walls, elaborate stone and half-timbered houses, churches, among others the cathedral and a medieval marketplace.
